DBT

DBT was created as an answer to the problem of clients with Borderline personalities feeling invalidated by the CBT approach and has grown to the most widely used treatment modality for anyone struggling with regulating their emotions.  This approach teaches skills to tolerate stressors, practices to increase emotional regulation and to have better interpersonal relationships with others.  It is an intensive and structure style of therapy that is incredibly effective when the skills are practiced regularly.
